I did email Pres Obama today -- Bill has 2 running Speedies and I have none. I asked to get the Speedie wealth redistributed. I mean its only fair - I sat on couch for 20 year so they owe me. Bill O'Reilly made me say that.

Shubbie (Dale) can make it around noon Sunday. BERT is battling flu and Gary is a maybe - his wife has flu or something.

I have long list - but even if we just wipe the dust off its a step forward.
Unless I take a severe turn for the worse, I'll at least stop by. I'm feeling better every day.

I slept for two full days, then I ran out of medicine two nights ago. I went to the store to get some more meds, where I realized there's a "daytime" and a "nighttime" version of the medicine. Turns out I was taking the "daytime" medicine the whole time -- and sleeping through all of it. Now that I have the "nighttime" medicine, when I take it, I'm out like a light, and I get good sleep! Amazing!
Greg's got enough parts in that garage to build two or three Speedsters! He DOES NOT NEED ANY MORE PARTS! --Actually, I have no idea if he needs anything, but he does have several duplicates of stuff.

One of the next projects is electrical, which I have volunteered my services to assist in. He has a fuse panel that he wants to use, and I am going to try to put together a wiring harness. There actually already is one in the car, but nothing is labeled and nothing is hooked up. I think that sorting out what's good and not good in the existing one will be worse than just building a new one. I don't know about the distributor or ignition system ... my focus for now is on getting power to and from everything.

I'm sure there are gobs of other projects, but I'm not sure what they are exactly. I don't think the engine has ever been turned over.

It was a fun day ... although I didn't do much but chit-chat and hand Dale, Bill and Greg tools. I think everyone left with some black-silicon-sealant-goobers, free of charge!

I also took PIT-CHURS. I'm uploading them from the camera onto my computer now. I'll post them shortly.

Appreciate all the HELP (that's me with hands in pockets).

Below is 1st page of list (Forum barfed with error on second so will try again). I listed task, hour estimate, priority (4 is a customization and not req'd to drive). List was DRCLOCK idea. It helped cuz after working for hours it often doesn't look different but at least you could cross stuff off list and it is getting shorter!) Some of stuff I did years ago is bitting me - the defroster vents are where the clips for tonneau should go as is the chrome MGB mirror base - so may have to fiberglass them over!

Wolfgang, and gang,

Really bummed I could not make it last week end. I offered to come out this week end, and have not heard back. Will there be another work party? Pls advise. If Teresa is planning some wiring adventures, maybe we two could hook up and car pool, or sumthin'. Anyway, pls advise the next session. Not going to stop until there is fire (and a little smoke I'll bet for sure) in that engine.
Not thrilled with that fire and smoke analogy! I didn't want to "burn" Bill and Dale out so was not going to push them for this weekend (weather might even reach 60 one day). I'm working a little each evening - removed dash covering, installing hood handle. I'm so pleased that shell and chassis are one - can now move it around (on 20 year old Michelin XZXs). Took 4 tubes of black silicon and dozen SS bolts but its very strong now - and should be darn near watertight.

I sure wouldn't turn help away - especially on wiring aspects. I do have a good sized fire extinguisher just in case (and State Farm).
Lane,
Don't give Greg a reason not to finish before - and drive it to Carlisle. We are keeping the pressure on...

Greg,
Trying to get my red rig done by the weekeng so I can drive - don't know if I'll make it.
Go ahead and set up a work date and we will try to get there.
I may need some help myself down the road.

Bill,
If you drive your car we can look at the oil breather at the same time.

Dale
I can't do it this weekend ... I'm babysitting my friends' kids (ages 6 and 10).

Maybe next weekend ... and I'll bring some stuff to start working on the electrical.

The weekend after that (21st & 22nd) is no good for me. But I may be able to do the weekend after that (28th & 29th).
Lane! Don't Despair! Help is on the way!

You can come down and help me work on my backyard shed!

Walls are all built and plywooded - all we have to do is stand them up, screw'em together and put on the rafters and trusses. That should take about an hour. After that, we can plywood the roof and that'll be it for this weekend - fire up the chicken on the grill!!

What'cha think??

This is key to my getting the new Speedie pan down here - Unless the shed gets finished, I have no room for the pan in the other garage!
