While the SC coupe is the primary car under way right now, I've still been sourcing out bits and pieces for the Pre-A for when that car's time rolls around.

I have some really nice wine colored seats from Vintage and was thinking of grabbing up a pair of their door panels as well. I got some Allante Wine vinyl to make my own, but I really do like the clean design of the ones offered by Vintage. And, in this instance, buying some nice pre-made matching panels to go along with the seats would be a pleasure.

HOWEVER . . . I've also never seen a pair of Vintage door panels that weren't warped. Does anyone know why this happens? Does anyone have a pair in their car that are still straight and new looking? Are they backed with simple wood or that new red composite plastic or whatever? Anyone got anything for me? I need some info badly here.

Thanks ! !

I just got my panels back from the upolstery shop. They used the original CMC cards for a pattern and substituted with cardboard. As mentioned that is the standard. If you are worried about the moisture just back them up with plastic sheeting and sealant (butyl or the like)

BTW, for the same cost of the vintage panels a you can get a custom look. Let me know if you would like to see pictures of mine or a shop refference (they still have my CMC cards for refference)
