I remember some recent dialogs on shifter wood knobs recommendations.  Figured I would plug in a great company I recently worked with to get a knob to match my new Lempert Nardi flat steering wheel.

Gary at C&G Woodcraft does amazing work, his custom shift knobs are solid, and has these in various types of woods/finish/thread sizing--- 7/8/10/12mm.

He has an ebay store-- cgwoodcraft ..  Check him out if you are shopping for a knob.  Call or email him if you have any Qs... Incredible customer support and product.

Enclosed are some side by sides of his porsche knob and my current stoddard stock knob.

Bob,

Gary was willing to match the knob to the wheel if he had the wheel, or a material finish sample to work from.

Fortunately, for my wheels- the Lempert Nardi and an original flat Darrington, Gary had two knobs in stock that were near perfect matches (after reviewing some high quiality pictures and material samples under white fluorescent light).  And true to his recommendation, the match was perfect, down to the tone of the Maple inlay.

He has a large inventory of already manufactured knobs for the multiple OEMs who used vintage wood wheels... though he was  working on a big project and trying to navigate around the big snow storm, he was very willing to work with me either to find the best match or make one to work for my car.

give him a ring... He was very easy to work with.

they look/feel great and are very comfortable size for shifting these cars.

PS- been following the thread on your new IM6 build. sounds AWESOME!! Can't wait to see some pictures of the finished project.

cheers,

Luis
