Will,
Sorry I missed you. Got a late start and got there around 11am. Wow that was a great show! I haven't been in a few years (5+) and it sure has grown.
I had a 51' Ford in really poor shape and after a few years I sold it to a guy who shipped it Oahu, Hawaii and then drove it to the north shore. Since I bought it with no engine and had been stored for 15 years I did pretty good on the mechanical restoring but I never had the money to finish the wood.
My impressions of the show:
1. Damn they are big!
2. Damn they look like a lot of work.
3. A lot of Woodies for sale. (saw pricing from 30's to 127,000)
4. I like the mid 30's fords the best.
5. I think woodies are more combustible than our Speedsters but did not see many Fire Extinguishers.
6. Don't know why there is no company's that build replica Woodies I know that there are a lot of fiber glass hot rod body parts and rod builders out there.
Anyway a lot of fun today, including the drive up and back the 101.
Cheers
Dave
