Wooooohooooooo!!!!!! Morro in 6 days (including today)

I am sooooo looking forward to seeing all of my SOC friends! I can't wait to see what kind of excitement Vince and Gerd drum up this year. I really hope this isn't Jim & Ginny's last year. Can't believe David and Lilly are not coming AGAIN. I wonder if anyone will wear a tie like my friend Cal. What will I win in the Brown Bag gift exchange? another kit to clean my car? I never win the "cool" prize. Will Dusty have a new truck again? Will Sharon ever age? I wonder if Terri & I will have to freeze again like we did last year? I am bringing my big coat this time. What we aren't driving in the parade?

Yes, I can't wait - - -and it looks like the weather will be great for the caravan up to Morro Bay on Friday ! Speedy is getting

Jennifer & Mike, I share your anticipation and we are looking forward to seeing everyone next weekend. Alice and I are launching at 7 AM in the morning (Monday, 4/19) and have just finished packing the car. It was a real challenge to load 10 days worth of clothes and supplies into the tiny Speedtster----the car is jam-packed.

Everything about the car is go and it is well-prepared for the 3,700 mile round trip.

Stops are Amarillo, TX, Gallup, NM, Barstow, CA and Morro Bay. We meet Dusty and Sharon in Gallup and Alice can get a break riding in Dusty's Escalade pulling their trailer.

We will make a side trip on the way back to see a cousin in Durango, CO, but the trip is mostly I-40 out and back.
A nice tune up for Carlisle a few weeks later!

Have a safe drive, Jack. Take plenty of pics and bring 'em to Carlisle.

Jack, there's a really good car wash in Barstow. You will appreciate this for power washing the bugs off your car. I sure did. I also found a good place for a bottle of wine within walking distance of my motel. I'll bet Alice will appreciate this too....

John---I knew you would get the itch! Well, I'm not already planing Morro Bay for 2011 yet, but if you would be driving it with me then I'd sure think about it! Maybe we can get some additional cars too.

EXCITEMENT FROM ME and we will be in my truck. I f my husband does not have his car ready for next year. I will finish it myself (or at least threaten too) it works when i threaten to fix anything else myself.

Jack, you're in for a treat. All of the west coasters that I've hung out with in Sandy Eggo are good folks. Wish I was there.
