I wonder how much stuff would have to come off to take out the engine.
With that much equipment on it, you probably have to pull the engine and tranny as a single unit.... I wonder what it takes just to change plugs...
I think a sawzall would be needed. You'd have to do a Hoopty on the rear of the car to work on it.

The car was built by Chris Toy. Nice guy. Here's a brief on the car:
There was a guy, a while back on one of the forums I monitor, who was trying to stuff a V8 Audi engine into a 356 coupe. It was going to be a mid-engine setup. He stopped posting about the project in 2011. I wonder if he ever got the car on the road. I think the guy lived in Malaysia.
I remember that guy, Ron. He had a rough going with the Porsche people on the registry, but I was following his build on other boards as well.
Might take a little investigative work on the Al Gore highway...

I still believe in the aircooled engine platform. But if gas keeps gettin weaker I may have to start shopping for a doner fuel injection kit from a toyoda carolla and adapt it They still make the most dependable injection.
