Other than the hideous Centerline wheels, not much to hate if you like a Widebody.
You could get enough money for those OG Centerlines from someone on TheSamba to replace them.

I like the Centerlines more than the color.
That's pretty high for a widebody. Chris Dauerer's new-chassis Beck classic body sold recently for $61k, well above reserve. I hope both new owners find this place.

They missed a lot of things.
Here's a speedster (on BaT) that gets me excited:

and this little Healey isn't far behind.

Both sitting at $30k with a few days left.
I'd be happy to have that early Healey.
I have all the weather gear one needs.
Oooooh times twoooo.

Diamond in the rough. That could be a calendar car for less than +$10K.

Not normally a fan of such finishes, but this is sitting at $10K. Probably go for <$20.
Im seriously considering going back to my roots when I get rid of the 968 and Spyder. I think I could really enjoy wrapping things up with a TR, or an A or a B. Heck, maybe even a Mini. Don’t think I’ll be able to afford a 3000 or a Guilia/Guilietta.

Do you have a link, David?

Yeah, it’s on BaT.

There is a lot to love there, David. It sold on BaT in 11/18 for $20,500. I'm watching it now - thanks for the link.
Never had an MGA, and that one looks like a lot of fun. 1600cc, even with a few enhancements, won't get you anywhere in a hurry, but you'll have a blast getting there.
"It'll fit(TM)"
In high school I helped a buddy and some other knuckleheads slap a v8 in an Austin Healy -- or maybe it was a MGA, can't really recall. Early 60s. What a hoot. I vividly recall when it was first fired up with just headers attached. About the coolest thing I ever heard or saw at the time. I(have come to understand since that such V8 conversions in these early '60s British sports cars was and is still a thing.
Back around 2000 or so, my friend Walter picked up a '59 MGA from a West Point kid for $1000 or so. Took it home, cleaned it up and re-sold it for $3K about a month later.
He had almost nothing in it but a little labor and a carb rebuild.
He had a good feel for what would sell and what wouldn't.

About what it went for. $21.5 IIRC.

I love just about everything about this. Except the seats. And it could use a Les Leston steering wheel.

I had two MGAs back in the early 70s. I split the rims to widen them, put a very cool roll bar in them and tape on the head lights and removed the front grill to give them a road racer look that looked similar to a Cobra. I did nothing to the little 1600cc engine other than a dual exhaust that ran under the rocker panels.
They were fun little cars and always drew a lot of attention. I would frequently find people checking it out when I would come out of a store.
A Miata engine with ITBs. 5-speed. Stock 4-bolt 15-hole Nissan Steelies at 15x6, powder coated argent silver, with 2-eared knockoffs. Twin-cam badges. 15-inch white meatballs.

I can get behind that, as long as it's got the ITBs.
Me too, make the ECU Speeduino and I'm in.

Absolutely!
Just get rid of the stupid lever shocks that British Leyland(British Motor Corporation Limited) liked to use. They sell tube-shock conversion kits.
