I'm looking for some Michelin XZX 165-15 but looks like they're discontinued. I'd rather get some used Michelins than new Kumho's - these Kumho's are the only tire I can find in this size anymore.

TireRack.com has the Kumho for a good price though, but nothing else in this size. Got an old set of skinny tires, any of you 185-15 drivers out there?

I upgraded to Goodyear 185/65R15 Eagle GT's last spring. They seem to hold the road and wear well so far (much better than the stock VS cheapys!)..... About 78 bucks each after rebate.

As I understand the situation Coker Tire is the only place to buy Michelin XZX 165's these days......and they are not cheap ($137 plus shipping), but they had a few last year when I bought a pair. As I understand the situation Coker bought up all the surplus XZX's when they went out of production a couple of years ago....see http://store.coker.com/

coker tire is the only source for michelin. my car came with bridgestone re950 195/60/15 tires. really a smooth ride and handles well. ill go for comfort over the "proper" size.

Consider Vredestein 165HR-15 Sprint Classic.

I have used these tires in both 185-15 and 165-15 sizes with great success. They cost $89 from Coker Tire, and they are freshly made in Holland.

I'm not necessarily going for the "right" size tire for originality, but the tire guys I've talked to here say the 185's won't fit on my CMC body with IRS axles. Looks to be true when I look at it, so I think I'm stuck looking. I found some whitewalls on eBay, but not my style - not even turned whitewalls-in.
