Todd - The striker plate on the main body and the latch mechanism on the door are from a VW T3 (although they look an awfully like the ones on a T1 bug - I haven't compared them side by side or looked at the VW #s). The aluminum plate that mounts to the door can easily be made with sheet aluminum. One of us can do a tracing of it for you - mine is on car but could probably do from there if another SO doesn't have one unmounted to trace. Would look awesome with a tooled swirl finish!

Yes, Please. I can probably a rough trace from the inside of my door. But I am not sure where the latch hole should be.
