I would like to obtain the roll bar support brackets for the "decorative" roll bar used on the CMC ('88 vintage, in my case). If you happened not to have made the installation on your CMC and still have the brackets knocking around, please email me or leave a post. Thanks. /john ( jpwiley@earthlink.net )

John,
I just took a look at the rollbar & braces I have. The braces consist of a square plate with a flat piece off of that welded to a piece of angle iron.
They look like they were welded in a jig as the pieces don't meet square to each other or to the center line of the angle Iron.
It would probably be a safe bet, using the pictures in the build manual to make the square piece (the one that gets the 4 bolts through the body) Bolt that in place. position the angle Iron on the frame rail, bolt or tack it in place. Then add the piece that goes between the two. Tack these in the car.
Remove and finish welding them.
If interested I have a CMC bar and brackets. $100.00 and it's yours. Problem is... when I bought it used it cost more than that to ship it.

Greg, thanks for the loan of your brackets. I picked up some material yesterday and finished my brackets this afternoon. They fit great. I did fab a weld jig for the flat plate-intermediate arm weld; and followed your suggestion of tacking that assembly to the angle bracket in-place on the car before final weld (off the car). This has been a good week. Got a hydraulic cluch operator installed, as well as a pair of Derale remote oil coolers. If I'm not careful, I may get this thing going before Christmas.

Thanks again for everything. Your brackets will be in the mail on their way back to you Friday.

I have a pair, and the actual roll bar to. Do you want only the brackets? I probably need to sell them both, but would consider just the brackets. Also, they would not be that hard to make, just need to get the angles right so they bolt up to the bar snuggly.
Write me if I can help.
