My neighbor has a 1964 356C and needs a replacement generator and steering box.
As an alternative to a ZF, has anyone here replaced a ZF with a VW steering box and appropriate Pittman arm? If so, what year(s) box and what length Pittman arm? Likely a "temporary" fix so he can drive it sooner rather than later, given that he's real tight on his budget...

I think you'll find that nearly 99% of the guys on this site have replica speedsters. A few have original coupes.

Thanks, been a Samba member since 2008 (have a 1959 ragtop bug and a 1959 lowlight Karmann Ghia), and have been hoping to find some parts here, as I've been looking on the Samba and the 356 Registry for parts for my neighbor's car...
