It's a bunch of oddly shaped pieces left over.  I'd have to do some cutting for shipment, but it's 3/16" polycarbonate with a scratch-resistant coating - expensive stuff.  No point in it going to waste.  The largest piece probably won't be big enough for a Speedster window (unless you can piece something together), but would be for a Spyder.

@Lane, thinking of doing a slider like the early T2's

That is just bad, and not in a good way.

Lane, some photos of your hardware and seals you used would be helpful. I'll get you a rough dimension for the polycarbonate to see if what you have will work. And thanks!

Stan, sorry to disappoint. I'm going with an actual top and side something. It won't be sealed up like an IM, but it will give us some wet protection.

@DannyP,

I'd love to see you do some sort of bimini top, if for no other reason than shaming Mr. Drake into actually doing the one he's been navel-gazing over for years now.

I've have an idea for a bimini top for my Spyder. Not so much for the rain as the sun and wind. Too many things on my list of wants. My list of needs is longer though.

have any of you guys came up with a bimini top over the years?
I had a thread going asking about one, but I'm too lazy at the moment to go check if any of you replied.

No on the bimini top.

I have an older Beck top that I got on Spyderclub.com. It came to me with a windshield header, hoops and side curtains, but no articulating frame. So I fabricated one.

I used 1/2" x 3/16" steel IIRC. I also used some 6mm x 1.0 bolts, some conventional rivets and some nylon washers at the pivots. I had to weld some tabs to the hoops. I also had to drill and tap the header to attach the frame. It works just like the newer Beck tops.

The top is fitted, I just need to have it cut out for my headrest fairing and install a few snaps on the deck/clamshell.

I have the Beck side curtains as well, but wanted to make plexi for bigger side visibility. I purchased Troy's cruisin' windows for the hardware and will eventually cut my own windows. Spyder doors are a lot shorter than Speedsters.
