Look for a classic style speedster body w/ doors hood and deck lid, condition is unimportant.

Alan, have you considered doing a coupe?
Bill,
Yes but cost is an issue. I am toying with the idea of doing a very basic bare bones speedster i.e. a street track look car Emory " replica " calling it Project Shoe String.
How about an exotic ---- CMC 359/959? Same as Speedie but different "exotic" look? There's that one in Chicago for $3500. I think there's 3 of us here that like them. They are unusual and unique. Could be a real keep --- just cause no one else would buy it maybe.
Ok I normally wouldn't post a car for sell but this is to good and I have to many cars or I would buy it.

Is that all those bring? Could it be a scam?
A scammer is not going to state and I quote.
"Any potential buyers are welcome to have the car inspected at their expense by a reputable Porsche shop in the Tacoma area or Robert at AutoKraft would be happy to take you through the car in person."
as for a minor typo...who doesnt. <------ typo right there. lol
3 or 4 of these have sold in the past year in the seattle/ mercer island area for this price... All in similar or better/ more original condition.
Akers ---http://akersporsche.com --- would be the shop I would take it to arround here to get inspected.... the shop owner must have ~20 1960-64s in his collection.. Countless other years and models,,,, .. He has been buying up all the local state sale cars that come up for years.... Specially those he has been servicing for decades. Not many 356 in the northwest that have not gone through his shop in its 50yr history.
its unfortunate he changed the colors....

Well, you nailed that one, Greg. Not only would nobody likely offer Alan decent money for it, but it'd likely not be driven to Carlisle for show or sale.
It's pretty hard to drive a car with a paper bag over your head. Those little holes you cut to see out of kind of limit your peripheral vision.
