Wolfgang,
I saw the it and also had contact with Tom and gave him an offer.
Was unfortunate, as it took long time to obtain pics. and info. from him.
I later got the message that it had been sold to a gentleman who was standing waiting with his trailer.
Info. I got was that it was cab. no.100, last built and that he had built it in Brazil.
Had I obtained info. and known more re. Envemo, then I would have given him the asking price without hesitating!
So I guess it got a nice new home......
Seen another one, a Coupe #122 in parts 90% done, ready to be painted for $7000 with a mofoco engine w/t webers and 42 heads.
Mofoco good or bad?
Don't know if it's worth it??

Steffen,

I hope the story about the guy standing there with his trailer is not true, because I paid for the car last week, but have not picked it up yet!!!

There was an ENVEMO coupe listed on kitcars.com in Maine for around $7000. Sounds like it may be the same one. Problem with that car was that it was missing some glass, which will be hard to replace. Mostly the windshield. Unfortunately, over the years there were something like 5 different suppliers of windshields, and all of them were slightly different, which meant custom modifications to the body to make the windshield fit. It is possible to do it with the original glass, but it will take some work.

Carey,
I respect your consern regarding the windshield to this car.Yes we talked several years ago. I have found from other ENVEMO owners that late 356 windshilds will in fact fit, with out modifacitions, that might not be the case with all coupes. But a late short 356 windshild fits in my car with no modifacitions. Hopefully this will help other owners with windshild issues.

Chuck,
Thanks for that. I'll be sure to keep it in mind. Getting new glass for my coupe was a nightmare, but I eventually found an original Fanavid glass in Brazil, which was a god-send. The original 356 glass was WAY off on my car.

Steffen,

I'm sure it was. I've been assured the car is mine and is awaiting my pick up. I'll happily take some photos for you when it arrives.
Got contact with an owner to a red Envemo Cab.
His Envemo was imported in 1986 from Brazil.
The ID says: ENVEMO H576411 and all glass is marked with Envemo.
I found the great homepage www.envemo.com and could read under history that cars were manufatured @ CBP (Capacetes Braziliero Perfeito) in the later 80's and there after @ Chamonix.
I have also seen a comment that these didn
