Wtb a shortened vw pan for a 356 replica build. IRS preferred. My welding skills are limited at best. Moreover, I am struggling to find a shop in SLC Utah that is willing/wanting to shorten a standard pan for me. Any assistance in helping me source one out would be greatly appreciated.

NOT MINE. Decent price at $600 with papers (title?) and not too far from you. Includes shortened pan and CMC/FF sub-frame thrown in. Get it media blasted, epoxy primered and paint it black.

Unless you buy a fiberglass body from Rusty Tubs - you won't be using the attached sub-frame. Trans doesn't appear to have caught fire or melted. I'd replace all old rubber, grease and drain trans
Rod,
$600 with title is a steal. If were close to me and fit the need, I would jump.

Rusty Tub's bodies are a lot of work as the inner hood, deck lid doors need to be bonded together by you and also need to rivet and bond the 2 x 4 steel frame ...on the frame, all runner items will need to be replaced etc.
I have available a shortened chassis with "AirKewld" adjustable coil over front end, tie rods, steering box & damper, hydraulic pedal assembly, A 1 shocks, loose sway bar, wide 5 disc brakes all around with ten slot wheels, trans strap and new tires ...you would need to look into U Ship for a bid quote to move it to you PM dialog me if interested. ( shifter in pic not included) It's ready to set a body on $3,100.

Well, at $3100.00 for all that, plus some shipping, versus $600.00 for the Toastmaster special, I know which I would choose.
Great tnx!
I smell a deal in the offing . . . They are starting to stack up at a certain little Amish fix-it barn in PA.
