Hey Guys I have been looking for a porsche speedster for my wife I wanted to spend about $11000, I bid on one the other day on ebay, but lost it over a $100 dollars....I'm really trying to get this for my wife for her birthday in February...If anybody has one let me know... Thanks

are you planning to do any work on it before you give it to her? (ie: interior / paint / etc)
i mean - i certainly wouldn't look a gift-horse in the mouth, but for another few grand you could a fairly nice one. might be worth saving up
Dunno, Mango. Sometimes deals are out there. I got mine for $6,500 and after putting new tires on it and tightening up a couple of bolts on the shifter drove it from Boise, Idaho home to Ottawa, Ontario. A September deal though.
Jeremy, keep a sharp eye on ebay and Samba. This is certainly a buyers market.

Winter sems to be a good time for deals in cold weather states as many of those who are "involved but not committed" are hit in their first or second year of ownership with the reality that most of these cars are really only comfortably and safely driven two or three seasons of the year. At least that was my impression a couple years ago when I was shopping hard for my car. On the other hand, sheer volume of cars owned on the West Coast makes that always a good place to mine for deals year round.
