I would like to replace my roadster style seats with speedster seats to squeeze a bit more legroom out of my 2004 IM roadster. Ideally with the lower back cut outs. VMC can get me a set for $1500 in vinyl with heat option, but before I pull the trigger I figured I'd see if anyone had another source they were happy with. I have an upholstery shop to change color if needed, mine are tan but I can't imagine I would get that lucky. Thx! ( I can't afford new Fibersteels)

Alan I actually did that to my last roadster. I sectioned the seat back slightly to allow it to travel further back. I gained about an inch when combined with seat extenders. It was about 16 hours of work when all said and done, and not quite worth that inch. Ultimately the lower profile speedster seat will get me about 2-3 inches back, and also a little lower to the ground. I had speedster seats in another car and I actually had to come up a click or two. A welcomed action at 6’3” Fortunately I’m lean enough that speedster seats fit me well
