Other than the sorting and a oil and filter change, there hasn't been any maintenance...and the tuner sez the valves will need to be adjusted every 6000 miles...

Cool car. Enjoy it. Do you have any photos of the interior, I also am shopping a JPS coupe. But want the Subie with A/C.
Classic look. Beautiful!
Nice!
No, I don't have any pictures of the interior...I call it Ox Blood...a real dark red.. John has another name for it....
I would not hesitate to endorse a JPS... other than the long wait , it has been a ball.... everyone loves the car and no one appears to be disappointed to find that it is a replica.
Now, I do have a water cooled coupe with much higher performance and excellent protection from the elements ...so I appreciate why people would prefer them,

how long did you have to wait for the car? John states about 12 weeks.

Mike, it is absolutely box stock. The only options on it are the badges and the bumper guards...no radio...no air...no nothing.
It is comfortable to drive on backcountry roads at speeds of 35-70 mph in temps between 45 and 85 for a few hours. Might have about 85 hp ??

Without going back to be absolutely sure...I think it took about 10 months...there was a delay because the painting shop was relocating and my build was stuck for a while.
If I could do it over again, and I could find a coupe (there are very few available and they go fast) I would buy a used one or a resale
South Atlanta Motors and Beverly Hills Motors have them available on occasion.
They charge a premium but I think it is worth it to get the car right away.... assuming it is the one you want. Silver appears to be the most common color.
I have never seen a used suby coupe for resale, but like I mentioned, I was't looking for one.
FWIW I expect delivery of my JPS coupe on 5/2--a wait of 11+ months
What is with the promise of 12 weeks?
It's a target to shoot for, "aewgolf"...
I do like to get everything generally that's offered for a couple of reasons. Once you've gotten over the sticker shock and decide you want to spend the initial amount, ( I find as I get older, I have less toys but higher price tags! ) if the base model is X and a fully loaded one is X plus a few dollars, why not? And possibly resale value down the road? People do like their creature comforts and bells and whistles.
Nothing wrong a little stock though. You want to make it yours, not buy someone else's interpretation. That's part of the fun!
A Coupe is next on my list, maybe next year. Like everyone else has found, hard to find one second hand, probably need to build.
She's still a beauty, stock or no!

There you go....Beverly Hills in San Diego has a silver one with a red interior looks identical to mine with about 1400 miles. No listed price, on page 10 of the Porsche list. A lot of quality interior pictures.
I need to mention that I am height challenged ...about 5' 8"... I suspect that anyone much over 6' should make sure they can get in and out and be comfortable in the car... they are a tight fit.
Amen to trying the car out for size. I am 6'0" and went down to Beverly Hills in San Diego to look at his coupe(s). The silver one on Carl's site is sold. He does have a gorgeous blue coupe that has been lowered and has speedster seats. It is a bit of a contortion to get in. The best way I think would be to roll down the driver's window and crawl in from the passenger side
