Not a lot of folks opted for the CMC wiring harness, as it was (a.) expensive and (b.) not very good quality.

Two options commonly taken:

- Get a new wiring harness from Vintage Speedsters. I believe it uses the VW-style fuses and should work quite well for you. It is also color-coded and comes cut to length for a Speedster. You should be able to install it in an afternoon. Or:

- Get a Street Rod Wiring Harness from Painless Performance Wiring. I like the 12-circuit model found here:

and I'm partial to Part# 10102.

Painless isn't cheap, but the quality is very high. You'll have to study that versus the one from Vintage, which a number of home-built Speedsters have used, and decide which is best for you.

The painless version isn't made specifically for a Speedster, so it'll involve more cutting and terminating and so forth, too, but you can get a relay/fuse panel with the relays integrated.
