It did seem to be beating you down, Kelly. With a big engine, unless you really, really work at it (and even a lot of times when you do), it's "always something". There's stuff that's fun to work on, and stuff that just makes you mad (my freaking rototiller, for instance). It seems to me that a hobby ought to be fun, and it seemed that you weren't having much fun.

That's the only reason I said anything.

When my micro-rototiller (it's cute....Has a whompin', stompin 31 cc motor and a ZAMA carb the size of my thumb) wouldn't start this past spring, I took my son's sage advice and by-passed all of the Druid incantations and thrown chicken bones to maybe get it running and (gasp!) simply bought a new carb for $28 and they threw in a gasket set.  Instant success, but then...........it's not a Weber.

Same here, Gordon. Mine's a Sthil,  but the last person to borrow it (but not return it) never puts sta-bil in the tank. However, this is the third year in a row for the new carb, and this is getting old.

LEON!    Missed ya, buddie.  Finally got back to Carlisle after five years.  Nothing's changed, really, including the screwy weather!!

The worry of the tuner guys turned out to be a non-issue.  In fact, a bunch of them dropped by the Speedstah line-up, seemed really interested (especially in the Suby-Coupe) and asked a lot of questions.  Maybe another Speedstah/356 generation is coming.  Who knows??
