Maybe we should ALL start signing our cars.
Who knows? Some of us might become famous!
(or not...Maybe, like the "Three Amigos" learning about "el Guapo" - "he's not just famous, he's IN-Famous!")

Iggy Pop is pretty cool but somehow the car looks weird without front grilles and dash upholstery, doesn't it?
This is a Speedster I did last year, I think the clean dash and no horn grills have a nice custom look ....
Make sure you autograph it, Alan

Well yeah Alan I like yours because it screams outlaw. The one for sale is more or less a stock model and it looks weird without those items.
Whew! What a relief!
I thought for a minute there that I would have to install my dash cover! Got enough trouble already with my holey convertible top!

P.S.: Just installed my "Father's Day" stereo present.....
Hey Jerome! How many Watts do I need to catch up with you??

Alan,
Can I ask where you bought the carpet kit from on your project that you showed above?
Cheers,
Jim.

Jim,
I bought a remnant carpet roll(picked out by my wife Kim) traced and cut out the carpet sections using a CMC carpet set as a pattern.
I had the edges bound in the darker blue.
The jute backed carpet was difficult to work with in making the necessary bends and getting the stiff carpet stay in place until the contact cement set up.
The carpet cost and labor charges for the edging were more than what a new speedster carpet set can be purchased for but, it was worth the additional cost and time to get the unique look .

Alan,
Thanks for the feedback. I also was looking at buying a carpet remnant and having it edged, so it was interesting to hear that you had already done this with some success.
Looking again at your pictures, I noticed that the fittings on the tops of your doors are sort of rectangular in section. Are these standard door topswith the CMC kit? I ask because the kit I have does not seem to have these, and instead the parts that I am assuming fit to the top of the doors are more teardrop shaped in section.
I am sure Ben Gulley, if he sees this post, will call me out for being a blind git ;-), and not knowing that the doortops are supposed be teardrop shaped. But I was wondering anyway.
Cheers,
Jim.

Just looked at the picture in Gordon's post above and he seems to have something else on top of his doors!
So many choices, so little speedster!

Jim:
I looked at Andreas Eizinger's VS this past weekend, and the door top trim on that was rectangular in cross section, whereas my CMC is rounded. Could be that ALan had some VS trim pieces kicking around for that build, or he simply used something else on hand, like a piece of 1" X 2" wood, covered with vinyl. He and I both are pretty resourceful that way (and we're both too cheap to throw anything away!)

Gordon,
For the Highs ( >100 Hz ) I have a 2X75 Watt amp (@ 4 Ohms & 14.4 Volts)
For the Lows ( <100 Hz ) I have a 1X150 Watt amp (@ 4 Ohms & 14.4 Volts) This is driving 3 - 8 Ohm Subs, this reduces the impedance to 2.67 Ohms so the actual power is 250 Watts!
Later,
Jerome
